Toronto,
September 20th: Associazione AMARCORD – Emiliano Romagnoli
dell’Ontario organizes a fundraising event for the populations hit
by the May earthquakes in Emilia Romagna. With Miss Tagliatella
‘matterelli’ and handmade tagliatelle especially coming from
Italy, the event will be a show&taste of the best of Emilia!
Don’t
miss the chance to see Miss Tagliatella at work live in Toronto …
and to generously help a reconstruction project chosen by
Associazione AMARCORD - Emiliano Romagnoli of Ontario together with
the Emilia Romagna Associations of Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa.
Italian
Canadians never missed the choice to help those in distress, were
they in Italy or in other parts of the world. The September 20th
event, to be held at The Jewel Event Centre in Woodbridge will be the
occasion to help the areas hardly hit by the two earthquakes of May
20th and 29th.
Organized
by Associaizone AMARCORD – Emiliano Romagnoli dell’Ontario the
event will be a manifesto of ‘cucina emiliana’, the traditional
gastronomy from Emilia. Chef Gabriele Paganelli (www.paganellis.com),
together with the ‘sfogline’ (don’t know what a ‘sfoglina’
is? Come to find out!) of Miss Tagliatella, for the first time in
Toronto, will showcase ‘sfoglia tradizionale’, the handmade pasta
that is the core of Emilian cooking. Pastamaking truly is a real
culture in Emilia, and it has been chosen by the organizers as a
symbol of a region that is already starting again with the hard will
and the ‘never surrender’ approach that helped build world famous
excellences such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Ducati, Parmigiano
Reggiano, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, lambrusco … and tortellini!
Help
the reconstruction efforts and don’t miss the chance to taste for
the first time in Toronto the real handmade tortellini … and try to
learn their secrets, watching our ‘sfogline’ at work during the
event.
The
event is sponsored by Emilia Romagna Region and all the funds will be
directly donated to one reconstruction project to be identified by
the Emiliano Romagnoli Associations of Canada, under the supervision
of the Italian Ambassador in Ottawa.
The
event will beh held at The Jewel Event Centre
(www.jeweleventcentre.ca) on September 20th, 2012, beginning at 6.30
pm. Organized by AMARCORD – Emiliano Romagnoli Association of
Ontario in cooperation with Regione Emilia Romagna and Molini Pivetti
SpA. Tickets will be on sale at $ 150.00 per person all included.
